It's strange when people ask me "do those workout programs that you sell really work?"
All of those folks on the infomercials for P90X, Turbo Jam, Insanity, Slim in 6...all those success stories happened. I know some of those people.
I also know a lot of people who had success and then backslid. I am one of those people, I know many others. But, because I know people who bought a program, got fit and STAYED fit...I see the pattern SO clearly..
The motto is "Decide. Commit. Succeed."
Sounds simple enough and, if you REALLY do one before the other, fully, then it works.
However, if you only do something halfway...how could you expect anything but halfway results?
If you workout - you need to power your newly functioning body properly with good healthy power-packed foods. You need to hydrate, you need to rest and recover, you need to get the supplements your body needs, and you need to enjoy it.
In short, you need to pay attention to YOU.
People think that this is selfish. It is. It's Self-CARE. In giving to yourself, you have a more "quality you" to give for others around you. You know it's true.
So while it all seems SOOOO complicated, it's really not.
It's all about choices, you make a million of them every day but the ones I'm talking about are about your fitness:
You make a choice every day - to workout or not.
You make a choice with the food you put in your mouth. Every time you open your mouth. I hear people say they don't know what to eat. I'm hear for you to ask, the Beachbody Club guides you with a high-powered beam through that dark maze.
Now you don't have to feel "all or nothing" about all this, just eeeeeeaaase into it. A couple days a week. Hey, just ONE day a week to start. Just make that decision. Am I saying to get the hardest program? Nope - walk. Take the spouse, take the pet, take the children..or take the time for yourself. Just moving a little bit will make you feel a lot better.
For all the things you think you don't know, you hear things, you know things, you know how you feel after you make lousy fried, fatty, sugary foods all the live-long day. If you think antacids are your friend, think again. (ugh, don't get me started!)
Listen, (or, er...look).. http://teambeachbody.com/eat-smart/michis-ladder is a general guide, a simple breakdown of the way best food choices to feed a body, the further up you stay on the ladder, the better your body will feel, look, and perform.
So start with the basics: moving more, eating better. It's all your choice.
