Vegan for 4 weeks? Doable! (PCRMs 21-Day Vegan Kickstart)

Today is the first day of the kickstart offered online by PCRM, it's free and a great informational tool. There are no vegan police if you slip and it's on you and only you if you skip a meal or quit.
The first time I did this in August I did it completely vegan, even went for a vegan protein shake to replace my usual one.
I'm not going completely vegan because my morning chocolate health shake - well I'm not going to give it up this time because it makes me feel great and I haven't found anything even close to all the premium ingredients it has for the money. (Plus the company is working on a vegan version so I'll wait.) It's 140 cals by itself but I usually add a banana to it and so it's about 240 cals for my wonderful chocolate treat in the morning.   It's supposed to help you stop having cravings EXCEPT for that I crave the shake. Mmmm...so good. 

So the Kickstart is something you can sign up for and get the emails and just ... peek into it.  No police to say "DO IT!"   There's a daily message, video clips, all sorts of cool little tips and tricks they share. 

The meal plan is cool, goes out every Saturday so you can plan the week. Plenty of recipes that are tasty and not very complicated. 

Again, this is just a cool guideline to have, great recipes that help you use leftovers, etc. If you find something you really like, then make it over and over again, substitute whatever you need to - you don't have to follow the menu exactly.  Go easy on yourself, if you do an "all or nothing" you might quit at your first frustration. This is all about easing into this interesting world of healthy food.   There are often 2 or 3 opportunities to do a kickstart (they don't ONLY do this in January) so peeking in on this one could be a good way to start some good habits.
